is derived from the Latin "granatum", meaning
pomegranate or seeds. Garnet, however, is a group name for silicate

AQUAMARINE
received the name from the seawater color and is
a variety of the mineral beryl. Iron creates the greenish-blues of

BLOODSTONE
is the most famous of the member of the chalcedony
